Cubitts — Wilfrid Wood

Wilfrid’s spectacles look like hands that look like spectacles. Made from Dusty Pink acetate with multiple painted fingernail laminations and a brass pinky ring. They are accompanied by a drypoint print by Wilfrid, Theo with Watermelon.

Wilfrid Wood is an artist, known for his paintings and sculptures of heads. He studied at Central St Martins, before getting a job making latex heads for the TV show Spitting Image. His work includes a recent album portrait of Paul McCartney, which was deemed ‘too unflattering’ by the singer. His heads have been exhibited all over the world.
