Buying glasses without a prescription

All the optical clarity and protection, but without the prescription. Non-prescription glasses, also known as clear or plano glasses, are ready to wear and can either be worn as a fashion accessory, or can be taken to a local optician to be changed for prescription lenses. When you purchase Cubitts glasses online, you can choose between:

1. Non prescription lifestyle lenses

Clear fashion lenses which are ready to wear with non-prescription ZEISS ClearView lenses. These lenses include DuraVision® coatings and have the same anti-scratch and UV protection as our ZEISS ClearView prescription lenses. Non prescription lenses can also be customised with coatings to cater to your specific lifestyle and preferences. Choose from light reactive lenses, also known as transition lenses, which turn your glasses into sunglasses when exposed to UV light. Or, blue light lenses which block the blue light from digital screens and the sun, reducing visual fatigue from excessive screen use.

2. Non prescription plastic lenses

You can choose to purchase the frame only, with non prescription plastic lenses. These lenses dan be taken to any local optician and replace with prescription lenses if required. If you are wanting to wear your glasses as a fashion accessory, we recommend you choose non prescription lifestyle lenses.
