Make yourself at home.

Our Elizabeth Street store is a homage to our Victorian namesake, Thomas Cubitt, whose master vision for Belgravia gave the area its signature stuccoed terraces and leafy squares. We’ve restored the features of a 19th century Belgravia townhouse, highlighting refined and understated mouldings, architraves, and cornices, all previously lost to years of renovation. In a chalky yellow colour that was typical of the period, the store is a contemporary interpretation of the neoclassical drawing room, with a modern insistence on beautiful functionality.
Custom spectacle shelving has been designed to resemble traditional concertina room dividers, one with creamy linen wallpaper, the other in mahogany with a brass finish. A cast iron fireplace provides a homely centrepiece, with upholstered armchairs providing an opportunity for slow spectacle contemplation.
The space is enhanced by a selection of mid-century furniture, including a domed Jumo lamp by British modernist Eileen Gray, who lived in this area early in her career, and a tapestry by Anni Albers.

Bespoke at Cubitts Belgravia.

Three silhouettes – Hyde, Wisley, and Hilltop – take design notes from English gardens, in homage to the plentiful blossom adorning Belgravia, and the Chelsea Flower Show to which the area plays host every year.

These frames are available exclusively from our Elizabeth Street store through our Bespoke service, made to measure from a choice of over 130 colours.
