A frame innovation. A panto silhouette with a front assembled from a single piece of stainless sheet steel, bent, interlocked, and hand-soldered. Its continuous form, ingenious front-seated hinge mechanism, and stonewashed finish draw on Isamu Noguchi’s Pierced Table, another beautifully functional object.

  • Limited to just 50 pieces, made by hand in our King’s Cross workshop

  • Custom front-seated hinge mechanism

Noguchi is inspired by Isamu Noguchi’s galvanised steel kirigami sculptures and designs, like his Pierced Table of 1980.

A single sheet of hot-dipped galvanised steel, folded across three planes, with its structure composed of areas of interlocking rather than external joins. A fin-like protuberance emerges from the centre of the table, introducing the sculptural into the functional. Then again, as Noguchi said, ‘everything is sculpture.’
