Every Cubitts frame is handcrafted in a Cubitts workshop from carefully chosen components, and fitted with the finest ZEISS lenses as standard.

Custom pins. Constructed with custom Cubitts pins that secure through the acetate. This is called 'pin drilling' and means a frame can be serviced and repaired.

OBE screws. Screws from OBE are fitted with miniature silicone bands, to preserve the thread and last longer.

Custom wire core. The custom Cubitts wire core, a slender piece of metal inserted into the temple to make the frame adjustable.

OBE hinges. Teflon-coated structural hinges from OBE, with between three and seven charnieres, provide a structural bond between front and temple.

No external adornment. The Cubitts logo is carefully inlaid on the inner temple, to avoid unnecessary external adornment.

Custom nose pads. Our workshop can replace existing acetate nose pads with deeper adjustable custom nose pads if required.

Premium acetate. Cellulose acetate, derived from natural cotton and wood fibres, made by Mazzuchelli (Italy) and Takiron (Japan).

ZEISS lenses. Fitted with the highest quality ZEISS ClearView lenses, including DuraVision® coatings as standard.

Infinitely repairable. Every acetate frame is constructed with a mitred (angled) joint between front and temple, which can be filed back for a better fit.

Clip-on sunglasses. Clip-ons and bespoke flip clips transform spectacles into sunglasses.

We don't charge extra for necessities. Every frame order includes all you need to keep, care for and clean your frames. We also offer a complementary frame service after one year.

Precision lenses

Cubitts frames are fitted with the highest quality ZEISS ClearView lenses, with DuraVision® coatings. Antistatic, hydrophobic, scratch resident, anti-reflective, and UV-protective layers included as standard with all spectacles and sunglasses.

Artist-designed cloth

Every pair of Cubitts spectacles comes with a microfibre oversized cleaning cloth. To elevate this everyday object - and to discourage the widespread misuse of shirttails - we collaborate with some of the most compelling artists and designers working today.

Aluminium case

Protect your spectacles and sunglasses with our ultra-lightweight, exceptionally strong aluminium case. Also included in a non-toxic anti-fog lens cleaner that is safe for use on all lenses.
