What information do I need to make an order?
For prescription glasses or sunglasses, you’ll need a valid prescription.
A valid prescription includes:
-
Your full name, address, and D.O.B
-
Your optician's details with a signature
-
The date your prescription was issued
-
Prescription expiry or recall date
We will also need your pupillary distance (PD) - this is the distance between your pupils, measured in millimetres. We use the PD to place the lenses in your frame in the optimum position, for the best visual clarity.
For stronger prescriptions and prescriptions with prisms, we may also need to take extra height measurements. This can only be done in store and our team will reach out to you if needed.
*We define strong prescription as any sphere (SPH) outside +/- 6.00 or cylinder (CYL) outside +/- 3.0.
How do I submit my prescription?
If you've had an eye exam with Cubitts, your prescription and pupillary distance (PD) will be saved in your account for you to choose.
If you have a prescription from elsewhere, when placing an order you can upload a photo at the checkout (after the payment page). Alternatively you can email the prescription later to info@cubitts.com.
You’ll also need your pupillary distance (PD). You can ask your existing optician for your PD, or use our online measuring tool which we’ll send to you when you place an order. Alternatively, you can pop by one of our stores where we will happily measure your PD for you free of charge whether you've placed an order with us or not.
Once you have your PD, you can either hand-write it onto the copy of your prescription before submitting it to us, or you can send it to us at info@cubitts.com from the email address you used to place your order.
How do I check the status of my order?
You can see the status of your order in your Customer Account, which you can access here.
How do I change or cancel my order?
If your order hasn’t shipped yet, email us at info@cubitts.com or call us on +44 20 7683 6369 (UK) / (833) 357-2082 (US), and we'll do our best to help.
How can I pay?
We accept all major credit and debit cards online with secure payment.
You can also pay via Apple Pay, or over the phone at +44 20 7683 6369 / (833) 357-2082 through our secure payment gateway.
All of our UK stores accept Edenred Eyecare vouchers. To place an online order using an Edenred voucher, please email us at info@cubitts.com. We also accept vouchers from our Corporate Eyecare scheme, but do not accept NHS vouchers or any other voucher scheme.
For US customers, FSA and HSA health insurance payments are available in our stores. We are an out of network provider for all insurance companies, but will provide an itemised receipt with every order that can be used for these claims.
Can I use vision insurance for my purchase?
Yes, we're an out-of-network provider for USA vision insurance. You can use your FSA (Flexible Spending Account) or HSA (Health Savings Account) to cover the purchase of any prescription spectacles or sunglasses in-store or online.
There are some simple steps to use your insurance:
- Choose your eligible Cubitts prescription product
- Purchase using your own funds
- Download your order confirmation
- Submit your claim to your insurance provider
- Receive a reimbursement from your provider once approved
The exact details may be differ slightly depending on your insurance provider. If you’re unsure about what's covered by your insurance, please contact your FSA or HSA provider directly.
Can I order for someone else?
Yes, you can. You can purchase any of our products as a gift. If the product requires a prescription, we will require written consent from the owner of the prescription and we will need to create an account for them (as it's part of their personal medical record).
If that spoils the surprise, you can purchase a gift card instead. Or purchase the frame with clear lenses and we'll fit the prescription later for you at no expense within 30 days (and even change the frame style if they find another one they prefer).
What happens after I order?
Our team will review your order and ensure we have all the information needed for your lenses, if necessary, we'll get in touch for any further information before finalising.
You will then receive confirmation of your order via email with an estimated date of delivery.
You'll receive further notification when your order has been dispatched or, if you're collecting, when it has arrived at your chosen store.
