The workshop took some strong surgical steel and began shaping.
A collection of stainless steel frames using Cubitts own components. The frames are a modern reinterpretation of the old school components used in the 1930s. Optional adornments to the surgical steel are Cubitts’ own Windsor Rims.
These glueless Mazzucchelli acetate rims add an extra point of interest and style, and are also useful for secreting those stronger prescription lenses. The temple tips are a reference to the organic shape of Constantin Brâncuși’s ‘Bird in Space’.
