Frames in extra small to extra large. Goldilocks would have a lovely time.

9.5 out of 10 people would recommend Cubitts. We're working on the other 0.5.

The Shrigley mural

The Shrigley Mural

David Shrigley at The Yard.

On the side of The Yard, there is now a very large cockerel - by artist David Shrigley.

The mural marks the opening of The Yard, our new home in King’s Cross. Part workshop, part studio, part lab, part archive; David's cockerel is a fitting mascot. Watchful. Timely. Colourful.

You can visit the mural - and the Yard - at 6 Blundell Street, King's Cross, London, N7 9BH.

Now you know.

Tom’s a good pal of mine and i'm a big fan of Cubitts spectacles. So I was delighted to provide a mural for Cubitts HQ and thought this would be a good fit for the wall.

David Shrigley

When we first took The Yard, one of the most extraordinary things about the building was this vast, empty wall along its west side - a huge blank canvas. And given the area’s slightly insalubrious history as Belle Isle, in the shadow of Pentonville Prison, it felt like the building needed something to lift it.  I immediately thought of my old pal David Shrigley. Over the years, I’ve heard people refer to Cubitts being run by a massive cockerel - so it was pleasing that David appears to have taken this literally, and given us one.
