Orders placed between the 5th and 15th could take up to 5 working days longer than usual. We are moving to a new home, and while exciting, it will cause some short-term disruption.

Frames in extra small to extra large. Goldilocks would have a lovely time.

9.5 out of 10 people would recommend Cubitts. We're working on the other 0.5.

Raw Edge:

A celebration of process

The city’s an ellipsis.

Remember how it was slow before?

The slow slow season a steady thrum of heavy dark. But now, once more, light is raising its head and smiling. ‘Hey, it’s in the air’ everyone says to their fellow shiverers shivering off their turn-of-the-year shyness and everyone is stirring.

A different shivering, a lovely unfolding and look! Light from the buildings begins to bounce and be that many-angled awe and heavenly architectural glissando charging the streets with an intoxicating more and more and more and all is eager all is ready for the off, the foolish, fledgling joy, ‘it’s in the air’ everyone says and everyone is hide-and-seek excited because because here. it. comes.

A kind of vertigo, a weightless pogoing inside. Pre-euphoria my dear. Pre-ecstatic. The just before. And more and more and more, it’s icumen in, it’s coming up, get ready exhilarater, it’s about to get brighter, the later you’ve been waiting for is very nearly here.

And then.

And then.

And then.

The air holds still, high, silent.

Vast in anticipation, and then …

The limited edition Brydon in Bone, with wine fade lenses.

For 2026, British Sunnies Time is a three-part campaign marking the arrival and progression of British Summer Time. Each stage is accompanied by writing from Thomas Sharp, and shot on location around London by Jethro Marshall -an exploration of what summer means as it ebbs and flows; its false starts, sudden arrivals, and long, fading evenings.

The first chapter, Anticipation, celebrates the moment just before; that particular charge in the air when the clocks move forward and summer begins to feel possible.

To coincide with Anticiaption is the launch of our first range, Raw Edge- a celebration of process; revealing rather than concealing the marks of making.

Its exposed CNC finish draws attention to the more than fifty stages of production behind every Cubitts frame, making manufacture a visible part of the design language. The result is a collection that reworks familiar sunglass archetypes through a more sculptural, process-led lens.

Built around four silhouettes -  panto, square, rectangle, and aviator; the Editions takes silhouettes already deeply rooted in Cubitts and sharpens them through a new formal language.

Chamfered planes, exposed cut lines, and controlled geometry give each frame a stronger architectural presence.

Wheeler is a classic panto shape reworked through a sharper, more contemporary lens. Wheeler takes its cues from familiar mid-century frames, but introduces a subtler teardrop line, more controlled transitions, and a clearer sense of structure. A defined keyhole bridge keeps the shape grounded. Familiar in silhouette; more sculptural in feel.

Brydon is an imposing library frame with a low, horizontal stance and a distinctly architectural character. Drawing on mid-century library frames, it pares the form back to clear geometry; a broad brow, shallow lens height, and saddle bridge combine to create something steady and direct. Crisp edges and minimal surface curvature give it a raw, deliberate presence without overcomplicating the design.

Clayton reinterprets the aviator through a more structural lens. Inspired by late-1970s sports and utility frames, it pairs a broad brow line with angular lens geometry for a silhouette that feels both forceful and balanced. The cut-out bridge detail gives the frame its defining character, while a softened lower rim keeps the shape cohesive and wearable.

Randell is a direct expression of width and structure. Inspired by early 1960s acetate frames, its bold rectangular silhouette is defined by a strong brow line, a low straight bridge, and a front that feels broad, stable, and self-assured. Subtle lens chamfering softens the mass just enough, keeping the frame weighty but resolved.
