In 2017, G. F Smith set out to discover the world’s favourite colour. This was no mean feat, but with the help of the internet and an incredibly expansive grid of rainbow hues, they whittled it down to one choice: Marrs Green.

This deep turquoise shade, inspired by the Scottish landscape, was incorporated into G . F Smith’s much-loved Colorplan paper line and used to create limited edition products with iconic brands including Anglepoise and tokyobike.

In honour of G . F Smith’s 135th anniversary, Cubitts have created a custom Marrs Green acetate which will be used for 135 pairs of exclusive Cubitts × G . F Smith Eastcastle sunglasses. Each pair is available in a choice of complementary lens tints, and accompanied by a Marrs Green cleaning cloth made from recycled plastic bottles.
